ArtMap is an independent information platform focused on contemporary art. Its existence began in 2007 as the printed matter in the form of a list of exhibitions in Prague Galleries. Over time, the field expanded its scope beyond the city which led to the creation of a web portal artmap.cz. From the beginning we put emphasis on the selection of the most interesting, what the current scene has to offer, based on the simple philosophy of equality of all stakeholders. We are open to interdisciplinary collaboration, and any initiative that is important for the development of culture in the Czech Republic. Our aim is to provide quality information to further develop the overall public interest in the visual arts.
