As part of the series of exhibitions focused on the output of
young artists, Petra Římalová, freshly graduated from the
Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (studio of Veronika Bromová,
2005–2011), presents her video installation named Village.
Římalová´s projection tackles the theme of the village as an
environment that can be at once unsettling and soothing. Using
a "projection mosaic" made up of fragments of reality and fiction,
the artist unveils a finely nuanced scale spanning the positive and
negative perceptions of the rural scene.
