V rámci projektu 1×1, tedy jeden večer jeden umělec, se Vám pro tentokrát představí Petr Krátký.
Petr Krátký (CZ, 1985) ve své tvorbě neustále balancuje na labilní hranici mezi sofistikovaným přístupem profesionálního umělce a civilní sebeironií vůči podivné činnosti kterou vykonává. Jeho důsledné analýzy formálních specifik média ve kterém zrovna pracuje jsou provázeny osobitým suchým, racionálním, humorem zdůrazňujícího nám, že role umělce, kterou jistě bere naprosto vážně je jen jednou fasetou jeho životního postoje. Ve své videoperformační tvorbě často rozehrává k jednomu konkrétnímu momentu zacílenou choreografii sebe samotného, či jiných kompozičních prvků. Manipulace s médiem i s vlastním tělem je mu prostředkem k osobnímu vyjádření i k analýze současné situaci již zkonvencionalizovaných pozic jako je videoperformance či konceptuální práce s objektem obrazu.

In his work Petr Krátký (CZ, 1985) constantly oscillates between a sophisticated approach of a professional artist and a civic self ironizing of activities he pursues. Meticulous analysis of formal features of the medium, he just works in, are accompanied with a particular, deadpan, rational humor, which emphasizes that the artistic role, he takes rather seriously, is just one part of the multifaceted life. In his video performative works he often evolves a focused choreography dealing with a particular moment, in which he or other elements in the composition appear. By manipulating the medium as well as his own body, he tries to express and analyze the current situation of conventional positions such as video performance or conceptual work with image.

Petr Krátký graduated from the studio of Intermedia confrontations at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where he also direct Gallery 207 since 2015.
