Alžběta Říhová, Luboš Plný – Cross Section

Two seemingly diametrically opposed authors with two distinct agendas. Yet parallels can be found in their work: in the form of conceptual thinking about the image, in the presence of irony, and above all in a similar approach to reality.

Cross Section, which Alžběta Říhová performs through the architectural façade and Luboš Plný through the human body, reveals in the most general sense an inherent truth that is hidden under the surface of the banal everyday in ordinary view. Cross Section is a brutal uncovering of the essence of being.
