The exhibition Étoiles solitaires & das jüngste Blut at the Ladislav Sutnar Gallery presents the youngest generation of artists associated with the Ceramic Design Studio of the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art. The show traces the last decade of its graduates and complements it with current works by contemporary students, creating a layered picture of the medium's transformations in the recent past and present.

Gabriel Vach's curatorial concept is not based on a unifying theme, but on a plurality of approaches. The exhibition is conceived as an open platform where solitary authorial statements meet - from functional design to free objects to experimental and multimedia overlaps. Each of the exhibitors is generally represented by a single work or ensemble, highlighting individuality and a specific way of thinking about material, technology and the meaning of ceramics today.

Many of the works on display were created specifically for this occasion and are presented here for the first time. The exhibition thus captures the current moment in the work of artists whose position on the contemporary scene is still taking shape. Alongside returns to traditional and often neglected craft practices, innovative technological approaches resonate here, including 3D printing and multimedia interventions that push ceramics beyond its usual understanding.

Étoiles solitaires & das jüngste Blut is not a thematic exhibition, but rather a constellation - a set of distinctive individualities whose common denominator is their experience of a single studio. It is this shared experience that breaks down here into a diverse range of authorial approaches that show ceramics as a living and dynamic medium of the present.
