Jan Stolín is known for his sculptures made of industrial materials and for his site-specific light installations. Variable in their design and minimalist in their choice of elements, his works alternate between strictly geometric and freely interpenetrating organic forms, often accompanied by sound that responds to the viewer’s movement. They are sophisticated interpretations of both exterior and interior space, including galleries and various other spaces, religious and non-religious alike.

In this new project, Stolín draws on the monumental Baroque architecture of the Church of St. Lawrence to produce an installation that responds to the building’s atmosphere and scale.
