From a distance, the Counting Sheep installation looks gentle and dreamy. Up close, however, its forms destabilize to reveal hybrid structures that blur the line between reproductive systems and data clusters. This duality reflects how seemingly innocuous rituals - counting sheep before bedtime - can mirror contemporary systems of sedation, conformity and data extraction. At the same time, figures referencing social and biblical metaphors of obedience enter the invisible infrastructures of cloud storage and virtual media, quietly quantifying human life. By transforming the subjects into "cloud sheep," the installation critically reflects on seemingly voluntary participation in algorithmic and technological processes.

The work of Martina Čulíková functions as both a lullaby and a warning. Here, the imposition of calm and security collides with a poetic reflection on vulnerability and control, through which individuals become portable units within more complex systems. This transformation occurs subtly and with our consent, as we trade our own autonomy for the safety of soothing algorithms in our desire for digital comfort. The rhythm of counting is transformed into a spontaneous mechanism that no longer needs a conscious presence to exist. In this boundless digital interface, individuality dissolves into an endless stream of binary codes, where each successive entity is just a new line in the never-ending database of obedience.
