From October 26–28, 2026, the next edition of the Student Theater Festival (FESD), which has long been organized by the arts group OLDstars. This year’s RE.st(art) exhibition will take place in the unique attic space of the Salt Tower in the very heart of the city, which is part of the Dominican Monastery. This year’s edition is built around the prefix RE-, which the festival associates with the words ACT, CONNECT, and ST(ART)—each of these combinations opens up a different area of culture (theater, workshops and lectures, visual arts, music). The prefix RE- implies both a return and a repetition, but also the ability to re-examine things, respond to them, or set them in motion—we don’t want to turn a blind eye to what’s happening around us, not just in culture, but rather we’re interested in what to do about it next.

The exhibition RE.st(art) is emerging against the backdrop of this theme, but we do not want it to be just another space that starkly depicts all the negative things happening around us. This aspect is probably unavoidable, and we don’t want to deny it entirely, but we’re mainly interested in what might come after it—we’re looking for hope and a way out of the current situation. Not necessarily just through humor (though that is, of course, welcome), but also through other approaches—fragility, absurdity, playfulness, or anything that can open up a new perspective.

Technical requirements:

• We prefer two-dimensional works—hanging paintings, prints (whether photographs or graphic works), and objects that can either be placed on a surface or hung.
• We provide the necessary technical equipment—nails, wires, hooks, and lighting—as agreed upon individually.
• Technical assistance with installation is also available.
• Number of exhibitors: up to 15 artists.
