This exhibition follows on, both chronologically and thematically, from an award-winning project from 2022 that focused on Czech sacred art from 1948 to 1989. The upcoming exhibition and publication will present and evaluate works of art, architectural renovations, and new constructions in the Czech religious landscape since 1990, when a fundamental change occurred in the status of churches in the Czech Republic—a change that was significantly reflected in artistic and architectural activities.

The project is based on a curatorial selection of artistically significant works of art and architecture from a wide range of projects that could be created without prior restrictions during the period of freedom. It will focus on the sacred spaces of Christian churches—not only Roman Catholic, but also the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren, the Czechoslovak Hussite Church, and the Brethren Church.
