Are you curious about how sculptures are created? Then you’ll have a unique opportunity to see this process with your own eyes.

We invite you to visit the sculpture symposium for the project From Model to Sculpture, which will allow the public to watch the transformation of the artists’ models into final sculptural works. Two selected female artists and two male artists from Moravia and Slovakia—Martin Kochan, Pavlína Kvita, and Magdalena Roztočilová, Miro Trubač —will spend ten days finalizing their designs for public spaces. And you are welcome to come and watch this process at your leisure.

August 17, 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
August 18–25, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

August 22–23, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (3D studio)
August 26, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (on this day, the sculptures will already be being moved to the GVU garden in Hodonín)

The symposium will culminate with the ceremonial unveiling of two sculptures in the GVU garden in Hodonín, followed by an opening reception and concert on August 26 at 5:00 p.m. Two more sculptures will then be ceremonially unveiled in the park of the Museum in Senica on August 28 at 5:00 p.m.

The symposium program will include an open 3D studio offering demonstrations of 3D scanning and 3D printing with sculptor Dušan Váňa (Brno University of Technology).
