The exhibition presents recent works by students from the “Interdisciplinary Research through Visual Artistic Creation” doctoral program at the University of West Bohemia’s Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art in Pilsen. In this study program founded on the interconnection of artistic practice with theoretical research, the artwork is not only a product of artistic creation but also a tool for learning. The exhibited works represent a wide range of approaches in contemporary art, from classical media to intermedia and experimental forms. 

The individual pieces, which grew out of the artists’ various topics of research, explore questions of perception, image, space, media, and the social context of artistic practice. As a result, the exhibition is not a presentation of one single style or generational manifesto, but an open field of parallel artistic research where personal experience meets professional reflection. At the Klenová granary, these projects are presented to the public, offering us a glimpse into artistic research as a changing and vibrant process involving dialogue between the artist, the artwork, and the viewer.
