The exhibition In limine: On the Threshold of Transformation explores transformation as an inseparable part of existence, in which finitude and decay are not a definitive end, but a condition for new beginnings. The exhibition does not treat extinction as a point of completion, but as a moment of transition in which old forms disappear and make way for new potential.

By juxtaposing the reality of biological decay with the symbolic language of transformation, the exhibition explores the tension between rationality and the mythical understanding of finitude. In the biological rhythm, decay is a natural part of the cycle of life—a process from which new growth sprouts. On a symbolic level, transformation is reflected in the form of ritual, transition, and a silent shift between being and non-being.

Here, decay and emergence are not opposites but rather two phases of a single cycle. Cyclicality and changeability thus become the key to understanding (in)finity as a space in which the silence of decay transforms into a harbinger of new life. The exhibition presents the end not as a negation, but as a necessary condition for continuity—as an act of transformation in which the old is released so that the new may emerge.
