In One Stroke
06. 09. 2026 - 04. 10. 2026
The exhibition focuses primarily on the 1990s, but also includes works from the 1980s. It thus traces the transformations in Czech art at the turn of the decades through an extraordinary private collection and the relationships that gave rise to it. Karel Babíček’s collection was not created according to a predetermined plan or as an investment project, but rather through studio visits, conversations, friendships, and personal encounters.
Inventory is not a traditional retrospective of the 1990s, but rather an inventory of time, memory, relationships, and emotions. In addition to the works themselves, the exhibition also features archival materials, personal notes, and previously unpublished poetry by Karel Babíček.
