Galerie Půda presents an exhibition by Jana Zhořová titled I Was One Thing, Now I Am Being Another. The project grows out of two thematic layers – personal and institutional. It explores the theme of transformation and how time shapes our experience, perception, and identity. The second layer of the exhibition reflects on the very format of the exhibition and the role of the viewer. It raises the question of whether an exhibition exists without an observer.

“The exhibition opens a dialogue between the inner space of the individual and cosmic time. It offers an opportunity to pause and to embark on an imaginative journey beyond the boundaries of ordinary experience,” says curator Libor Novotný.

Jana Zhořová is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ostrava. In her work, she combines painting, object, and moving image. The exhibition at Galerie Půda presents her latest site-specific installation.
