Pavlína Kvita has been conveying with her sculptures for several years a specific connection between personal and collectively shared mythological-psychological archetypes. She has arrived at an emblematic morphology in which she allows abstracted forms of human, animal or imaginary mythical beings to permeate. The symbolic aspect of the reciprocity of the polar psychological qualities animus–anima, day–night, reality–dream, good–evil is stimulating for her. She has recently been intensively involved, for example, with the archetype of the guardian or warrior, creating masks of a ritual character as shields defining boundaries.

By sculpting, she generally transforms the subconscious contents of her own inner world, and dream scenes can also be a source of inspirational meanings for her. She perceives the creative process as subliminally slowly emerging possibilities, working inventively with the organic composition of forms. She enlivens the sculptural material with pigment colouring. The effect of the whole work is strongly co-determined by the artistically conceived pedestals created in collaboration with Roman Kvita. For the exhibition in the Broumov monastery garden, she has created several new sculptures on the themes of the archetypes of animus, anima and fallen angel.
