Milan Krištůfek – Explorations

A graphic designer from České Budějovice and a graduate of the Institute of Creative Photography at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts of Silesian University in Opava, he has long been engaged in Explorations of various spaces in the landscape. In this site-specific installation, he builds on previous exhibition projects and photographic series such as Natura universum (Měsíc ve dne Gallery, 2013; OFF Bratislava Festival, 2015) or PVC natura, Natura universum II. (Olomouc Museum of Art, 2017). In his current photographic series of personal land art contemplations in nature, he continues to employ the method of abstract interventions and the fragmentation of the “classical landscape.” He deliberately selects moments in which he seeks connections between shapes and structures. By tracing various timelines or inserting an artificial motif, he engages in a dialogue with the landscape and captures random moments of its natural and man-made transformations.
