Art Space NOV is a space for contemporary art – painting, sculpture, installation, performance, video art and multimedia projects. Our projects tend to be highly influenced by the genius loci of the gothic basement of the historic house No. 49 on Pernštýnské náměstí in Pardubice with the adjacent courtyard. This is usually the venue for vernissages, weather permitting.

The exhibitions in NOV have a two-month cycle, we prefer young and emerging artists, but one project a year is always dedicated to an artist one or two generations older. We do not forget about accompanying programs and thematic symposia. If circumstances allow, we also publish.

Art Space NOV was founded in 2014 by Štěpán Bartoš and Jana Orlová, who worked there as a curator until the end of the following year. From the beginning, the space of the reconstructed Gothic cellar in the centre of Pardubice was used for exhibitions. Since then, the concept has not changed – it is a non-commercial project run by the NOV association with the ambition of complementing the local cultural scene with the element of a small independent gallery.
