Centre for Contemporary Art FUTURA is a private non-profit organization operating exclusively on the basis of grant applications and maintaining two exhibition spaces dedicated to contemporary art, a residency program in Prague, the Renaissance castle Třebešice near Kutná Hora with a collection of Czech and international contemporary art, and a residency program in a two-story house in Brooklyn, New York, United States. The exhibition space of FUTURA gallery is a three-storey building with a total area of 1000 m2 in the Prague district of Smíchov. Since 2003, the works of many well-known and internationally renowned artists from abroad and the Czech Republic have been presented here in collective and solo exhibitions, including Lawrence Weiner, Bas Jan Ader, Betrand Lavier, Carsten Nicolai, Mircea Cantor and Hubert Duprat.
