CIANT has been supporting the production and promotion of new media art and culture since 1998. It is an international platform for research and support for the development of new projects using information and communication technologies in a creative way. Over the past 10 years, CIANT has established artistic and scientific collaborations with research institutions, universities, art centres, individual artists and scholars across Europe and overseas. CIANT is based in Prague. CIANT is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that invites artists, researchers, curators and cultural managers to collaborate on short- and long-term research projects and production activities in the Czech Republic and internationally. Thanks to public and private funding, CIANT initiates and implements projects linking scientific and artistic endeavours, with outputs being interactive applications, new hardware and software solutions or artworks. Many activities have a strong educational potential: training courses, festivals, exhibitions and conferences.
