Dudes&Barbies Gallery is a new gallery that was spontaneously established in June 2016 in Kavárna co hledá jméno in Smíchov, Czech Republic, joined a few months later by VNITROBLOCK in Holešovice. Two places whose common denominator is the revitalization of abandoned buildings. We are transforming dusty ruins into cultural centres with a unique genius loci.

We do not consider ourselves a gallery in the traditional sense, but rather an attractive site-specific environment where quality art can be presented and confronted. Our ambition is to bring art closer to a wider audience, breaking down the imaginary barrier that often makes the world of traditional galleries too distant to the non-expert public. With our varied programme oriented towards the younger generation of artists, we seek a balance between the presentation of established and non-professional artists, photography, illustrations, interactive objects and light design, so that art is perceived primarily as an experience and entertainment combined with quality.
