The independent project of the cultural centre Farmstudio is located in the Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area in the unique premises of a former farmstead from the early 19th century in the village of Vysoká, near Mělník. It provides facilities for creative residencies, symposiums, courses, workshops, festivals, art school plein-airs, music, theatre and dance groups and other activities in the field of contemporary art and living culture (photography, painting, spatial creation, performance, site-specific, occupational therapy, alternative lifestyle, etc.). In addition to organising its own exhibition programme and events, it also offers its space to other cultural entities.

Farmstudio has been founded and run since 2014 by Pavel Matela with the support of the Farmstudio – Centre for Art and Culture association, which was founded in early 2018. The site is undergoing a gradual reconstruction of a building of cultural and historical significance without subsidies or other public support.
