Lidice Art Collection is a public solidarity collection established in the 1960s by British physician Sir Barnett Stross MP (1899-1967). Donations from Gerhard Richter, Mona Hatoum, Joseph Beuys, VALIE EXPORT, Alfredo Jaar, the Válovy sisters, and Eva Kmentová, among others, are housed here. 

Our primary location is in Lidice, in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The Lidice Art Collection is housed in the Lidice Gallery within the Lidice Memorial, on the site of a village destroyed by Nazi forces on 10 June 1942. Today, Lidice is both a place of memory and a living institution — home to hundreds of artworks donated by artists from around the world in an act of international solidarity. We welcome visitors of all backgrounds to experience the collection, its temporary exhibitions, and the surrounding landscape.

The Lidice art collection is exhibited in the Lidice Gallery and managed by the Lidice Memorial, a contributory organisation of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
