LITHO LITO Lithographic Workshop is located in the house called Gothic Twin, in the conservation area of the historical centre of Litoměřice. The Gothic Twin - ̶  House of Art© is one of the oldest surviving houses in the city, this late 15th century Gothic house has vaulted ceilings in the LITHO LITO rooms, on the ground floor, and a unique timbered room upstairs, now in one of the seats of the North Bohemian Art Gallery. 

Litoměřice - this North Bohemian town lies at the confluence of the Elbe and Ohře rivers, at the foot of the hills of the Bohemian Central Highlands - Porta Bohemica = Gateway to Bohemia, between Prague and Dresden. You can arrive here by car (on the motorway), bus or train, the journey takes 1 hour from Prague, as well as from Dresden. The aim of the workshop is to preserve and spread our national cultural heritage - the graphic technique of stone printing, invented in 1796 by Alois Senefelder (who lived in Prague). To experiment in this unique technique and to extend it to other artistic media, including contemporary ones. For your creation you can use a hand operated, approx. 50 years old Adast Zetaconte counterpress, 2 hand presses, lithographic stones or offset dies, proven professional drawing and printing materials (Graphic Chemical, Hanko Ink, Huber, Rohrer & Klingner, Korn's etc.), quality branded papers. The studio is equipped with kitchen, toilet and bed. Shower facilities are available in a private apartment in the opposite house. 

The Lithographic Workshop of 2017 was founded and is run by MgA. Lenka Kahuda Klokočková, MA, graphic designer, student and friend of the renowned Belgian professor Ingrid Ledent. Lenka follows the teachings of important lithographers such as Rudolf Broulim, Jana Hubatková, Mikoláš Axmann and Petr Korbelář. "The workshop welcomes students and professional printmakers from all over the world, as well as anyone interested in learning about this special printing technique."
