Museum Kampa is located in the grounds of the Owl Mills in Mala Strana in the centre of Prague. It preserves the art collection of Jan and Meda Mládek, who actively supported Czechoslovak non-conformist artists during their exile in the second half of the 20th century. The collection includes the largest collection of works by one of the founders of modern abstract painting František Kupka and works by other important 20th century artists from the so-called Eastern Bloc.

The mission of the Museum Kampa is to care for the collection of artworks by modern artists and to bear witness to the difficult times in which this art was created and which should not be forgotten. The museum also organizes a series of short-term exhibitions presenting Central European modern artists to the public, including recent works by Kamil Lhoták, Karel Malich, Toyen and Andy Warhol. Each exhibition is accompanied by programs for schools and the general public.
