The International Cameraman Film Festival Ostrava Kamera Oko has been held in Ostrava since 2009. It focuses on the presentation of cinematography by prominent personalities from the Czech Republic and abroad. The main programme includes a competitive selection of feature and short films, presentations of filmmakers and industry sections serving to bring together professionals and students of European film schools. The accompanying component consists of a location tour, a strong music programme, lectures and exhibitions. A specific feature of the festival is the use of non-traditional, often industrial spaces for site-specific screenings.
