Adam Kašpar is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Czech realist painting. Thematically, his work focuses on depictions of landscapes, particularly forests and rock formations. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in Martin Mainer’s painting studio and has exhibited his works at numerous exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad.
During the discussion, we’ll talk about his current exhibition at the Pekelné sáně Gallery, the need to create, the journey through life and the artist’s career, as well as themes that lead from motifs in nature to archetypes and ancient mythology.
