Doom and decay in a broader social context are common themes among Apolena Typltová and Radka Čejdíková, students of the Photography II studio at UMPRUM in Prague.

Apolena Typltová focuses on the dilapidated environments of workshops, where the specific atmosphere is fading along with the decline of traditional crafts. She highlights the layers of time and imperfection as part of their quality. Radka Čejdíková draws inspiration from nature’s struggle with the decaying wrecks of cars in junkyards, exploring the transformation of an industrial object into a part of the landscape ecosystem.
