We invite you to the closing night of the exhibition Architecture of Repair.

The approach of the architecture of repair is based on a fundamental principle: Do not throw away, demolish, or destroy anything that can be adapted for new uses, instead of manufacturing, constructing, or building something new. A repaired object, a repaired tree, a repaired house, a repaired road, a repaired city. And also repaired social and cultural relationships.

The application of the architecture of repair is first and foremost about a values-based approach and then about the practical tools for its implementation. If we decide to prioritize the approach of repair, we first need to understand its deeper meaning. Not only must we intellectually grasp the need for environmental stewardship, but we must also feel love—for what already exists, for the old, the worn-out, and the weathered.

The exhibition focuses precisely on the very essence of repair and its acceptance and application not only on a societal level but also in our individual daily lives. And last but not least, it shows how architecture achieves this.
