How well do you know your own face? And what all can you do with it when you let your imagination run wild? After visiting the exhibition The Factory for Beauty together, we’ll set out to create a self-portrait in a slightly unconventional way—we’ll trace our own faces onto paper with charcoal. We’ll then transfer the resulting portrait onto a sheet of drawing paper and transform it into a completely new, fictional character. Using paints, colored paper, and your imagination, you can create a portrait of someone who doesn’t actually exist. Or maybe they do, just a little bit? We invite parents and grandparents to join us in this creative activity.
