In the first issue of Ateliérovka, inspired by the new exhibition Crested/mâcistan: Tanya Lukin Linklater and Duane Linklater, we’ll explore all the things water can carry and connect—not just people and goods, but also memories, stories, and knowledge.
We’ll create a hanging artwork inspired by the objects A bow and a cup ashaker (2026) or Headwaters (2026), incorporating the beads that have accompanied us throughout the exhibition. We’ll thread them onto various soft strings, which will symbolize flowing water. We can imagine all the things a river might carry with it. We’ll thread the cords through one another and tie them in various ways, just as in reality, different streams, rivers, knowledge, and memories intertwine and come together.
Tickets can be purchased right before the event at the Rudolfinum Gallery box office. You can reserve your seat at rajnisova@rudolfinum.org by Friday, October 2, 6:00 p.m. More information here.
Parents can join in or let their children create with the instructors while they take their time exploring the exhibition undisturbed.
