The Týn nad Vltavou City Gallery invites you to a summer exhibition marking the 30th anniversary of our institution’s founding. You can look forward to a group exhibition featuring twelve artists who are masters of graphic design but also engage in fine and applied arts. Some of the artists featured are those who have designed the gallery’s exhibition promotional materials since 2016. With the aim of bridging the past and the future, we are also inviting new artists and graphic designers—whose work we have been following with interest—to collaborate with us, thereby taking the first step toward creating connections. We anticipate a vibrant clash of approaches and aesthetics within the richly diverse environment of a single exhibition complex—not only within the gallery spaces but also in several corners of the Týn district.

The exhibition opening will feature an all-day celebration in the form of a revival of the Vltavotýnsko courtyards, through which we will commemorate—for the older generation—the golden days of the Týn Gallery. The program will include a breakfast on the grass with real artists, an art and DIY-philosophy workshop for children, a children’s opening reception in the adjacent community center, and a subsequent opening reception for the exhibition Behind the Visuals. The program will conclude with a concert by the acoustic minimalist and singer-songwriter “Starej pařez.” The courtyards are part of the Vltavotýnsko City Festival, which lasts several days.
