A new urban neighborhood has emerged from the former brewery complex, opening up an area that had previously been difficult to access to the public after many years. The Nusle Brewery combines historic buildings with new architecture, housing, a plaza, and walkways.

How challenging is it to transform an industrial site into a vibrant part of the city? What elements of the original brewery have been preserved, and how was a balance struck between history and new construction?

Host Jiří Jaroš will this time be joined by architect Vít Máslo from the firm CMC ARCHITECTS, co-author of the concept for the new neighborhood, to discuss the transformation of the site as well as the broader context of Prague’s current development, such as the construction of Metro Line D.
