The Vltava River and its banks have undergone a significant transformation in recent years. New footbridges, riverbanks, and connections between different parts of the city are being built.

A guided walk with tour guide Lenka Hubáčková will present a long-term development plan for Prague’s riverbanks. Together, we’ll explore how Prague residents’ relationship with the river is changing, what role the Vltava plays in the city’s development, and how new pedestrian and bicycle connections—such as the Štvanice Footbridge—are affecting daily travel between Karlín, Holešovice, and the city center.

The public gathering point is on Štvanice Island by the “River” statue, where the footbridge leads onto the island. The walk will take place outdoors.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Elpida Education and Cultural Center.
