A Report on the State of Normality is a documentary theater production about the status of people with intellectual disabilities in Czech society. It is being produced in collaboration with Divadlo Setkání and Divadlo Klauniky, which has long been dedicated to inclusive theater and operates the social enterprise Penzion Lipůvka in the Jeseníky Mountains.

The production traces the evolution of the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities into mainstream society. In it, people with intellectual disabilities overcome the entrenched perception of them as passive recipients of care and, with civic courage, challenge the notion that human abilities can be ranked on a scale that divides the population into “standard” and “non-standard” people. 

Divadlo Setkání is an interdisciplinary creative collective that combines the principles of theater and visual art with environmentally and socially engaged themes. Through theatrical performances, audio walks, and other unconventional theatrical forms, it creates a space for dialogue between art, science, and the community.
