The sixth annual book fair GHMP Art Book Fair will take place in the unique setting of Troja Castle. The two-day event will once again showcase the most interesting offerings from the world of art books, zines, and author-published works.

In addition to a wealth of beautiful books on art, the book fair also features an accompanying program that is more diverse this year than ever before: discussions, lectures, workshops for children and adults, DJs, and more.

Accompanying program DO IT TOGETHER by curator Martin Hůla: How is culture created today? Who is its creator? And what does “sharing” actually mean?

At first glance, it may seem that a book is created by a single author, with the typeface designed by one typographer and the illustrations created by one artist. In reality, however, every work is built on the efforts of many people who came before us and alongside us. Every book builds on other books. Every image draws on images we have seen at some point. Every typeface responds to the history of typography. Every idea arises from conversations, inspirations, experiences, and shared knowledge.

It is precisely this conception of culture as a living, open, and collaborative process that forms the basis of this year’s theme DO IT TOGETHER.

This year’s Art Book Fair is not just a place where you can browse and buy books or meet independent publishers. It becomes a temporary space for collaborative creation, sharing experiences, and exchanging ideas. A place where culture is not only presented but also created.
