We invite you to the first meeting of the new adult programme How to Approach Art, a series that introduces artists from the current exhibition through hands-on workshops.

This session will be led by painter Oksana Sadovenko, whose work emerges from close observation of the urban environment and everyday situations. In her paintings she often returns to the motif of the city seen from a bird’s-eye view and to subtle moments that usually escape our attention.

During the workshop, she will present her approach to painting – from searching for a motif and working with composition to the painting process itself. Participants will have the opportunity to try selected painting techniques under her guidance and experiment with their own visual expression.

The workshop will also include a large-scale collective painting, during which we will work together on an unconventional surface. Through layering colours, gestures and spontaneous collaboration, an expressive painting will gradually emerge, created by all participants.
