The exhibition of Ilona Koroman's paintings captures the poetics of everyday life and a unique view of the urban landscape. The painter with Hungarian-Ukrainian roots will present an exhibition focusing on the urban landscape of Prague 2, for which she has specially created several brand new works.

The exhibition In Sight presents a set of paintings inspired by the urban environment of Prague, in which the anonymity of public space is intertwined with personal experience. The situations depicted, stripped of literalism and set between interior and exterior, create quiet, suspended moments focused on the tension between proximity and distance, between the inner and outer worlds. Here, interiors do not serve as a refuge, but as a starting point for a view of the city that remains "in sight" – partially accessible, yet unreachable.

Ilona Koroman (*1998) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2025. Her work focuses on the poetics of the everyday, intimate spaces and quiet moments of ordinary life. She works primarily with motifs of interiors, architecture and urban environments, which she captures with an emphasis on light, atmosphere and the subtle tension between the seen and the hidden. Her paintings often thematise the boundary between private and public space, placing the viewer in the role of an observer watching fragments of seemingly ordinary situations. She has exhibited in Prague exhibition halls such as Bold Gallery and Hidden Gallery. She lives and works in Prague.
