We invite you to the closing reception and a guided tour of the exhibition To the Village Where You Should Never Have Strayed.
The work of Jan Vytiska features a highly recognizable visual style that is well-established within the Czech context. The exhibition at the gallery offers a comprehensive introduction to his visual world, which unfolds as a unique mythological open-air museum of characters, rituals, and symbols. It is precisely this ability to connect local folkloric imagination with the universally understandable language of contemporary painting that makes Vytiska’s work accessible even in an international context.
