Jekaterina´s Night Work is a sort of happening meant as a reminiscence of the times benevolent to emigration and immigration policies in Europe during the Prague Spring ´68 which meant for many people in ČSSR simply a beginning of a free movement. In front of the Swiss embassy where one of the situations of awaiting visa had taken place, we invite you to look back to eventually gain a more complex understanding of our situation today.
This event is part of Sleeping with Vengeance, Dreaming of a Life curated by Ruth Noack. An exhibition that takes a close look at contemporary politics of sleep and asks whether we can reclaim sleep and dreaming from the clutches of late capitalism.
Sleeping with Vengeance, Dreaming of a Life has been kindly supported by the Foundation for Contemporary Arts Prague, GESTOR ochranný svaz autorský and the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen - IFA.
