Exhibition Out of the Blueprint explores the theme of home in the age of digital technology and social media, but also in an era of ubiquitous wars and the accumulation of power structures that evoke feelings of apathy within us, linked to the difficulty of changing anything.

What does it mean today to feel at home and safe? How do political and social infrastructures reflect in our everyday lives and redefine our perceptions of security, identity, and belonging?

Kaja Lahoda (*1994) lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. She focuses primarily on installations and sculpture, combining ready-mades with natural materials to explore the relationship between humans and nature and the barriers we have artificially created between ourselves and the outside world. Her works address human fragility, intimacy, and the desire to control nature. In 2023, she graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. In 2024, she received the “Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Talent Award” for sculptors, and in 2027, she was selected to create site-specific works for the Deep Forest Art Land program. She has exhibited at Four Boxes (DK), Jiří Svestka Gallery (CZ), Tranen (DK), Polanský Gallery (CZ), Kunstarena (NO), St. Paul’s Church (CH), Kunsthal Charlottenborg (DK), and Den Frie (DK).

Masha Kovtun (*1993) was born in Dnipro, Ukraine, but lives and works in Prague. She works with installation art comprising painting, video, and sculpture, emphasizing the interplay between nostalgia and melancholy and the search for her own identity, shaped by the specific circumstances of an immigrant living in Prague for an extended period. Her work addresses the theme of home in the broadest sense, as well as the loss of intimacy and security in a world based on an endless flow of the present, which quickly becomes outdated. She earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from PGASA in Dnipro, Ukraine (2015) and studied Fine Arts IV at UMPRUM in Prague, Czech Republic (2017–2024). She also studied at Die Angewandte in Henning Bohl’s studio in Vienna, Austria (2020). She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Brno University of Technology. Her works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions at SETAREH, Berlin (2026); at the Polansky Gallery in Prague (2024); at Harkawik in New York, USA (2024); at MeetFactory in Prague (2023); and at 427 Gallery in Riga, Latvia (2023).
