This group exhibition by curatorial students from Anglo-American University draws in the concept of “kaleidoscope” – an optical device that produces constantly shifting, symmetrical patterns when rotated. Like these patterns, the exhibition reflects themes that are in continual flux, fragmentation and reassembling with subtle shifts in perspective.
The exhibition is structured around four thematic sections: the mundanity if everyday life as a site self-discovery, self-expression in an increasingly technologized world, the tension between tradition and contemporary expression, and migration as a liminal condition marked by fractured belonging.
Through a range of media – including painting, installation, performance, video – the project brings these perspectives into dialogue, not to resolve them, but to foreground the instability and multiplicity inherent in contemporary experience.
