LUFT is a multimedia festival organized by the cultural center Provoz in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava and Open Studios Art Hub.

The programme of the festival combines concerts, screenings, audiovisual installations, lectures, and, in particular, a joint exhibition of Czech and foreign artists at the Faculty of Arts Gallery (GAFU). LUFT has been creating a space for encounters between artists working across the media spectrum - from classical art forms to digital and sound based approaches and at the same time opening a dialogue between different ways of perceiving, creating, and presenting contemporary art.

The concept of Unconscious Paradises, which thematically frames the 6th edition of the festival, creates tension between conscious thinking and instinctive, sensory experience of the World. It does not refer to a specific place, but to a state of being that is difficult to grasp and disappears the moment we try to grasp it. This gives rise to a paradox based on the archetypal idea of paradise as a space that is beth idealized and unattainable.Whether the search for paradise leads to satisfaction, disappointment, or a completely different outcome, the festival offers insight through eighteen authors and artistic groups participating in this year's edition.

This year's festival will take place from April 15 to May 15 at the Provoz Cultural Center and the University of Ostrava's CITY CAMPUS at Černá louka. The complete festival schedule will be added at the beginning of March.
