The baroque Savarin Riding School in the heart of Prague is facing its last months in its current state. Before its doors are permanently closed to the public for renovation, the RUN OPERUN art collective will transform it into a unique platform for contemporary art, bringing to an imaginary end its residential era in this building in the heart of Prague. The project, titled Last Savarin Season, will offer a series of performances, exhibitions and debates from 23 May to 10 June 2026, linking history with visions of the future as RUN OPERUN feels it.

PROGRAM

We met in good times, we part in good times (May 23, 8pm)

The Merry Moments Choir will present their new work-in-progress project. Styled as a large membership meeting, the production connects the ideals of the national revival with the political realities of 2026. It will feature iconic works by Bedřich Smetana and monumental choral pieces in a raw energy at the intersection of theatre and song.

Fleischfarben & Room for Em (June 2, 7pm opening and June 5, 5pm-8pm)

A unique artistic dialogue. Justyna Tuchorska's exhibition explores visual eroticism through collages from vintage magazines, seeking tenderness and the female gaze. It is followed by a performance by Emma Fiala, who builds a utopian model of the "perfect world" in her project Room for Em, exploring anxiety and the desire for escape.

ATELIER (10 June at 19:00)

Participatory project by Kateřina Jirmanová and Petr Vančura. It is not a workshop, but a joint immersion into the creative process. The audience becomes part of a "couple therapy" between the inner world of the artist and the reality of the surroundings.

ROR+ Debates (23 May and 10 June after the productions)

After the first and last event Last Savarin Season, the artistic collective introduces ROR+ debates. These are aimed at adding cultural context to the works with the creative teams of the projects in question, and also offer a space to connect multiple audiences with cultural stakeholders and set up an inspiring dialogue.
