Another screening was created in collaboration with etc. galerie and Sára Märc, who will also present her curated screening. The evening will end with a concert by Adéla Konečná and her music project Orinoko. 

As I write this, Instagram is playing over and over the footage of ICE shooting Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. Just below it are discarded puppies in an abandoned shack, a recipe for vegan ramen, the price of Venezuelan oil, a jobs.com ad, Open Culture protests, Trump coveting Greenland, Palestinian victims, a Stranger Things spoiler alert, more dogs and ads and more victims, I've already missed a country or at least a continent, and Oliver Torr sent me a file on FAMU's exercise in "the chase" instead of N3G. We didn't realize I was a different Sarah until about ten minutes into the conversation. We wrapped each other in elegant wit and hearts around the strangeness of the answers, which didn't seem to belong to us but made sense in their own way. It's Thursday, it's getting close to lunchtime...

The curatorial band Overlapping Frictions grows out of the cracks in our personalities and the system in which we officially swim but unofficially drown. Comfort waits for us neither in fictional worlds, nor in mysticism, nor in theory, nor in practice, nor in dreams, nor even in tourist attractions. Though it may seem so, the common element in the selected art films is not the loss of hope, but a movement that does not lead through or around, but rubs up against. It is a shifting of two or more assets that usually, though not necessarily, head in different directions, sometimes stagnating or relaxing, and in which heat and abrasion are generated.
