The 5th annual SPLAVI Festival of Contemporary Illustration and Beautiful Books. 

This year’s edition focuses on forms of collaboration, sharing, and mutual support that emerge in contemporary cultural practice. It explores the ways in which creative collectives build supportive platforms for sharing experiences and resources and seek sustainable models of operation within the contemporary cultural landscape. The festival presents illustration as a space for interdisciplinary collaboration, where complex professional and social topics can be communicated in an accessible way. At the same time, it focuses on highlighting creative processes, their motivations, and the conditions from which they arise.

We will kick off the festival with the opening of the exhibition SPLAVI: Support Mechanisms on Friday, October 11, at 5:00 p.m. at Galerie FM.

The exhibition also features a showcase of children’s books from the international competition “We’re Starting Our Own Publishing House”.

The program includes an exhibition of contemporary illustration, literary and literary-musical evenings from the “Introducing Small Publishing Houses” series at Galerie Věž, workshops for children and adults, and the Splavi Market, which also serves as a gathering with exhibitors and guests.
