The exhibition examines contemporary illustration and publishing as tools for communication, sharing, and connecting disciplines. It presents them as key players in educational and community processes that contribute to the dissemination of understanding and the sharing of knowledge, and at the same time as tools for public awareness that help make complex social issues accessible in an understandable and sensitive way.

The exhibition also features a selection of children’s books from the international competition “We’re Starting Our Own Publishing House”.
