Two conspirators kidnap the CEO of a pharmaceutical company, convinced that she is an alien whose goal is to destroy our planet. Michelle (Emma Stone), the influential CEO of a major pharmaceutical company, has every reason to feel that the world is at her feet. Unfortunately, that lasts only until she wakes up on a dirty mattress in a stranger’s basement, handcuffed, with her head shaved, and smeared all over with a strange cream. She was abducted here by two cousins, Teddy (Jesse Plemons) and Don (Aidan Delbis), who are firmly convinced that Michelle comes from another planet and is tasked with eliminating all intelligent life on Earth. They shaved her head and smeared her body with the cream to prevent her from communicating with her mothership. That’s how prepared they are. Michelle realizes that you shouldn’t argue with madmen, so she tries every possible corporate tactic and trick to get out of there in one piece. It makes you wonder whether two nutcases who’ll do anything to save their fellow humans are more dangerous to the world than the currently imprisoned, ruthless corporate predator. (Source: CinemArt)

Uterus+ / Mariana Petřáková
Why don’t we tell stories about pain? Are they too intimate, chaotic, “feminine”? Uterus+ is a collective testimony about living with endometriosis and chronic pain that defies reproductive rhetoric and patriarchal notions of the body. (My Street Films)
