Tereza Pražáková Kabůrková – Heaven on the Table

Tereza Pražáková Kabůrková is an everyday photographer. There is nothing exotic in her pictures. How could we. The images she gives birth to not only through photography present us with familiar motifs, horizons of landscapes and tables, masses of clouds and flowers, scythe, gate and ruler. All that we, as viewers, can see is the all-too-common Sunday or perhaps Wednesday.

The author does not focus on the spectacle that the contemporary world constantly presents to us. This is not a first-rate attempt to enchant the viewer. Nor are the images alternating at the speed of light, or at least the speed of TikTok. Here, when we blink our eyes, the glass is still on the table, just as it was the last time we filled it with water, put on a sweater that bites a little, and sat down. The encounter with simple reality becomes here that unusual experience.
