The new exhibition The MXM Phenomenon will remind us of the now legendary MXM Gallery in Prague. This first private Czech gallery of the post-revolutionary era was founded in 1990 by Litoměřice native Tomáš Procházka.
Gallery MXM covered the work of leading visual artists of its time, and in addition to members of the Tvrdohlaví and Pondělí groups, it also represented Tomáš Císařovský, Tomáš Hlavina, Jan Merta, Stanislav Kolíbal, Karel Malich, Zorka Ságlova and many others.
With the exhibition organized on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the opening of the MXM Gallery, we want to commemorate this extremely successful project connected with the atmosphere of the newly acquired freedom of the early 1990s.
