The pop-up exhibition Time Collapsing brings together installations consisting of four pairs of works from various periods spanning more than 20 years of the Center for Audiovisual Studies (CAS) at FAMU in Prague.

The project’s concept creates new relationships, parallels, and contrasts between the works, where the linear timeline begins to break down. Pairs of older and newer works confront different approaches to the issues and formal treatment of themes such as time, repetition, dystopia, technology, and escapism. Through the installations, they create a synthesis and a space where a dialogue unfolds across time and generations, and the boundaries between the past and the present dissolve. The exhibition does not treat history and memory as closed chapters, but as active forces shaping the present.
